Scott Barnes is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over two decades of experience guiding clients through complex financial markets, from the dot-com bubble through 9/11, the Great Recession, COVID-19, and beyond. His passion for financial planning is rooted in personal experience: after losing his mother to breast cancer at a young age, he witnessed the financial strain a family can endure, and later navigated his own challenges with credit card and student loan debt on the path to financial independence. Today, he specializes in helping childfree individuals and families align their life goals with smart financial strategies, whether they're preparing for retirement, considering a sabbatical, relocating overseas, or planning for long-term care. He also holds the Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC) designation.
